Leggo the Wine, Seize the Martini?
Put a cork in it: Patrons say goodbye to Corkscrew
Corkscrew's final hurrah last night had a standing-room-only crowd (we had to not-so-subtly loom over a table for nearly an hour to snag a seat) living up to the relaxed wine bar's motto: Carpe Vino!
Owners Doyle and Andrew Adams, who also own Washington Avenue Drinkery, plan to re-open the re-branded spot in six weeks as an organic beverage-focused bar called Bee Love.
We've also heard rumors the new spot will be a martini bar, although we're a little skeptical that the deliberately low-key atmospheres of Corkscrew and the Drinkery could translate to such a venu. A smug-free martini bar? Impossible.
Either way, we're still excited to see what the brothers Adams come up with. The spot was a favorite, and we're always for fellow Heights natives. Carpe organic martini?
