Even before the curtain goes up on the Houston Symphony season opener, young professionals with an interest in classical music launched the season with a happy hour at The Tasting Room in Uptown Park.
As many as 200 members of Houston Symphony Young Professionals Backstage and the Houston Young Professionals Society turned out to snack, schmooze and be merry. Part of the fun was the collection of colorful "Brahams beards" that guests donned in a playful spirit in salute to the symphony's upcoming Best of Brahms festival.
In the mix were Fred Goerges, Jennifer Nguyen, Connie Cruise, Nina Chanthachone, Hannah Thibodeaux, Katie Chachere, Kelser McMiller, Melissa Seuffert, Jonathan Cohen and symphony trumpet player Anthony Prisk.
