More than 50 zinesters exhibiting their creative projects are expected to be at this year's event. Programming includes a panel discussion, lectures, raffles, zine workshops for kids and teens, bookbinding and letterpress demos by Lee Steiner and Travis Smith, and more.

Celebrations will continue at the Zine Fest Houston after party/Zine Prom "Under the Zine" (be sure to wear your prom best) at 9 p.m. at The Summit (3536 Navigation Blvd.), with performances by The Wiggins and Houston zinester Brandon Mahler aka DJ Knife Emoji, among others.

Zine Fest Houston is a local nonprofit organization and an annual event dedicated to promoting zines, mini-comics and other forms of small press, alternative, underground DIY media and art.
