Zeitgeist Films Trio: Last Train Home

eventdetail

Working over several years, Chinese-Canadian filmmaker Lixin Fan travels with one couple, who, along with 130 million other migrant workers, embark on an annual trek to visit family in rural China. Like so many of China’s rural poor, Changhua and Sugin Zhang leave behind their two infant children for grueling factory jobs.

Founded in 1988 by co-presidents Nancy Gerstman and Emily Russo, Zeitgeist Films caters to the discriminating and adventurous filmgoer. The screening series also includes Bill Cunningham New York and Vision: From the Life of Hildegard von Bingen.
