Young Audiences of Houston and Brave Little Company present Tomas and the Library Lady

eventdetail
Miller Outdoor Theatre

When he's not working in the fields con su familia (with his family), young Tomas looks for more exciting cuentos (stories) like the ones his Papa Grande tells. The Library Lady loans him his first libros (books) and helps him create his own stories. He even teaches her a little Spanish. Based on the life of writer/educator Tomas Rivera, this play uses English and Spanish to tell the story of an unusual friendship that bridges languages, cultures and generations. The show is based on a popular book by Pat Mora, adapted for the stage by Jose Cruz Gonzalez and directed by Troy Scheid.
