Yoga for Stress Relief


Discover how to use the breath, along with traditional yoga postures and modern exercises, to encourage the body to let go of stress. The class is designed for those new to yoga and those with some physical limitation due to injury or illness. Participants will explore how the body works and how to work the body. Strengthening the body also strengthens the being.

Presenter Leah Harlig is a four-time breast cancer survivor who discovered yoga's recuperative powers during treatment. Initially drawn to its restorative qualities, her practice expanded as she got stronger. Harlig continues to develop herself working with Robert Boustany, Julie Byrd and Amy Garratt. She is a registered yoga therapist.
