Performance artist and choreographer jhon r. stronks continues his choreographic journey from the "dis(miss)ive" to the declarative. Purging, Honey! is an evening of movement music and thought that ponders "queerness" as a conglomerate identity. surveying the fine lines of gender, race, sexuality and other geometrical figures that attempt to trap, separate, classify and reshape individuals into commodified abstractions of humanity.

This work dives below surface driven performance juxtaposing stronks performance art edge, vernacular movement style and concert dance vocabulary with a rock, pop, hip pop and R&B sensibility.

The performance is held in the Rice University Recreation and Wellness Center Dance Theater.
