New concepts for the 2017 event include expanding the free Boat Show into a free Outdoors Show. The Outdoors Show will include not only boats this year, but also fishing, hunting and sporting related vendors.
In addition, the former Shrimp Scamper 5K Fun Run has transformed into an Official 5K with a timing feature and route in Galveston’s downtown Strand Historic District. Other 5K improvements include new drawings with unique prizes for participants, new registration categories and a run/walker village with a variety of health-related vendors.
