Writespace is an intimate, non-intimidating environment that offers the perfect setting for first-timers to try their hand at reading. At a max of five minutes, you can read anything from original poems to excerpts from your novel. All ages are welcome.

Limited reading slots will be available, so arrive early to ensure your place and enjoy refreshments while spending time with other writers. The sign-up sheet will be put out at 7:30 p.m. and readings will begin at 8 p.m.

For the last 10 minutes of the evening, poet and University of Houston professor Michael Snediker will read from his work. A meet-and-greet at Café Brasil will follow the reading.
