Join on Valentine's for a romantic candlelight literary reading and fundraiser at Writespace. Enjoy passionate readings by Houston romance writers Melissa Maygrove and Jessica Trapp, alongside wine, beer provided by Saint Arnold Brewing Co., Buffalo Bayou Brewery and Karbach Brewery, and chocolate pairings provided by Whole Foods Market.

The event includes a love-letter writing contest for a $100 gift certificate to a Writespace workshop. If you're rusty on your love-letter writing skills, Writespace's director Elizabeth White-Olsen will offer a quick primer on the do's and don'ts of writing love letters based on classic and contemporary examples. To participate in the contest, bring along an original love letter or love poem and be prepared to read it (or have a friend read it) before guests. An audience vote will decide who wins the prize.

Proceeds will fund future Writespace workshops and scholarships.
