C. Boyden Gray was appointed ambassador to the European Union in 2006, and subsequently served as Special Envoy for European Affairs and Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy. He served as White House Counsel in the administration of President George H.W. Bush and previously as Legal Counsel to Vice President Bush. Gray also served as counsel to the Presidential Task Force on Regulatory Relief during the Reagan Administration.

In conversation with Alan Crain, Baker Hughes Incorporated, Gray addresses the importance of strong ties between Europe and the U.S., including the harmonization of non-tariff regulations.
