This workshop explores the meaning of the shadow, and each participant will choose one of the seven deadly sins and write about it in a genre of their choice. The approach can be as serious, ironic or humorous.

Mary Gordon's story "City Life" (sloth) and Kathie Dobie's memoir essay "The Only Girl in the Car" (lust) will be used as models of courageous writing. Copies of these stories will be available by email and as a packet for purchase in The Jung Center Bookstore. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to read the stories before the workshop.

The workshop is from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. with a boxed lunch included with the registration fee.
