Workshop: An Evening of Origami

eventdetail

Learn the basics of paper folding and create several birds, including a three-foot-tall standing crane. The art of origami dates back to the creation of paper more than 1,500 years ago, and its rich history is based in sacred ceremony and artistic reflection on nature.

The workshop is led by origami expert Joan Son, who has created numerous large-scale installations for public and private venues as well as small works for museum shops including the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C.
