Sure, everybody loves wine, but a ballroom full of vendors and a three-day commitment doesn't always seem like the best place to taste and learn. Luckily there's The Wine Conference at The Four Seasons Houston. Instead of chaos, it's a one-day event structured into hour-long sections on sparkling, wine, red and dessert wines. Each  section features discussions, bites and samples from two chefs and two wine experts — winemakers, sommeliers and advanced sommeliers. Some of Houston's best chefs will be creating the pairings, including Maurizio Ferrarese of Quattro, Yelapa Playa Mexicana's LJ Wiley, Randy Rucker of Bootsie’s Heritage Café, Beaver’s Jonathan Jones and David Grossman of Branch Water Tavern. Sommeliers presenting and leading discussion will include Backstreet Cafe's Sean Beck, Evan Turner of Branch Water Tavern and Paul Bonarrigo of Messina Hof Winery and Resort.
