Wine and Roses Festival

eventdetail

The Wine and Roses Festival pays homage to the Old World tradition of placing a rose bush at the end of each row of grape vines. The rose bush catches diseases and is affected by droughts before they reach the grape vines and allows winemakers to estimate the health of their vineyard.

As part of the festival, the Grape Stomping Competition welcomes teams of two to four people. Each round, teams will compete to fill bottles with juice from the grapes that they stomp. The festival will also feature events such as wine tastings, food tents and live music from "Dr. Love." Guests are welcome to take a Messina Hof Winery tour and visit the elegant Vintage House Restaurant and Wine Bar.
