In order to depict the playful storytelling nature of classical music, the ensemble performs a 45 minute concert of their own unique arrangements of such familiar musical treasures as Beethoven’s Symphonies No. 5 and No. 6 (Pastoral), Stravinsky’s The Firebird, Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, and Tchaikovsky’s Suite from The Nutcracker. Complete with costumes and choreography, the engaging performance concludes with an exciting retelling of the classic tale, Peter and the Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev where each musician becomes their animal character.
