White Linen Night in the Heights

eventdetail
White Linen Night

Grab your favorite white clothing — it's time to get to know the art, culture and community of the Heights. White Linen Night began in New Orleans' French Quarter's Arts District as a way for artists and patrons to celebrate their city’s creativity while wearing lightweight apparel to escape the summer heat. After Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, several business owners relocated to The Heights. Recognizing an opportunity to carry on the Crescent City tradition, they approached neighboring business owners to start a new event that mixed New Orleans soul with Heights heart. White Linen Night was born.

Activities for the evening are scattered across the Heights area but center around 19th Street Shopping District, 11th St., White Oak, Heights Boulevard, Yale St., Studewood St. and Houston Ave. (Maps are coming soon.) Free shuttle service provided.
