The Annual Benefit Dinner of West Houston Assistance Ministries celebrates 35 years of serving families and individuals in need and pays tribute to three amazing individuals who have made a major impact on their success.
Honor the legacy and influence of the late Peg Dudar, WHAM Founder, and be there as for the first time, they present the Penrod Volunteer Award, named for Ruth and the late Van Penrod, also our first recipients of the award. As a couple, the Penrods dedicated countless days volunteering wherever they were needed, and they did it wholeheartedly. The Penrods represent thousands of volunteers from corporations, churches and schools, in addition to countless retirees who work behind the scenes to help fulfill our mission - serving and helping families in crisis.
The keynote speaker is the Rev. Mark Brown, who will bring insight into his personal experience with the homeless, and his vision for the future. There will also be a musical performance by Virtuosi of Houston.
