To support and promote watermedia arts in the Houston area, the Watercolor Art Society-Houston was established in the heart of the arts district 50 years ago. As one of its signature juried events, the Annual Members Exhibit invites all of its 700 plus members to submit their finest paintings. The exhibition presents some of the very finest watermedia work from around the region.
This is an opportunity for Houston to discover what it is about watercolor painting that inspired artists like Homer and Sargent to pursue and elevate it to such a noteworthy artistic status.
