Wallace Shawn's The Designated Mourner at Catastrophic Theatre

Catastrophic Theatre

Wallace Shawn designed The Designated Mourner to be performed in a smaller, more intimate space. So for this play, Catastrophic Theatre transformed one of their offices into a stage. The highly political play reveals three character's imagined future in their civil war torn country. One of the main characters, Howard, is a poet who used to write political essays. In an attempt to subdue its opposition, the government targets writers and their family for execution.

Due to the smaller setting, seating is extremely limited and reservations strongly encouraged.

The Opening Night Party follows the performance on May 14.
