In its final concert of season seven, VOX will perform two monuments of French 20th century choral music: Requiem by Maurice Durufle and Messe en Sol Majeur by Francis Poulenc. The Durufle, one of the most famous and best-loved sacred settings of the requiem, will be accompanied on organ by Clayton Roberts and will feature soloists Melissa Fritsche and Brian Kosior. The infrequently performed Mass in G by Poulenc, an unaccompanied setting of the mass, will feature soloist Kimberly Tobola.
In addition to the Durufle, Clayton Roberts will play Litanies by Jehan Alain on the newly refurbished organ at Bering United Methodist Church.
