Brewery Van Steenberge owner and seventh-generation brewer Jef Versele will be in Houston for one night to host a dinner featuring his beers, including Gulden Draak and Pirate. 

Versele, known throughout the industry as the godfather of high-gravity brewers, is the grandchild of the brewery's original owner and grew up on the brewery premises. Dedicated to traditional brewing techniques in a modern environment, Versele is a highly entertaining host with generations of stories to tell. Hay Merchant will also debut its in-house chardonnay barrel-aged version of Van Steenberge's Gulden Draak at this dinner.
