Dispel your turkeynosis (that's the sleepy state after a big, turkey-heavy meal) on Thanksgiving evening for a tree-lighting outing on Post Oak Boulevard.
The 24th Uptown Holiday Lighting will include fireworks, a tree-lighting of 80 trees lining the boulevard, and appearances by a host of holiday characters.
The family-friendly annual event benefits Sheltering Arms Senior Service and Be An Angel, an organization improving the quality of life for children with disabilities.
Holiday music begins at 4 p.m.; Santa lights the Boulevard with a fireworks extravaganza at 7 p.m.
