Coming off a 10-win season, the University of Houston's football team heads into its season opener with Texas State carrying great expectations. With quarterback Case Keenum leading the way, the Cougars will have one of the most entertaining offenses in the country again and this is a night when the scoreboard should light up at Robertson Stadium. Houston has won 15 straight home games, placing them a win away from setting the school record for consecutive home wins.

Texas State is a Division I FCS program (the tier below the major Division 1 programs, which include schools like Texas and Houston) and the Cougars are likely the best team they'll play all year. Anything less than a dominant performance would be considered a letdown for UH.
