The Emerging Choreographers Showcase is a debut of dance works choreographed, produced and performed by the University of Houston School of Theatre & Dance students. The fall event is an avenue for aspiring artists to produce all technical and artistic aspects of a concert in a professional environment.

Student choreographer, Lauren Burke, gets inspiration from the courage individual's gain in the midst of opposition. Sarah Cross gets personal as she tells the story of the evolving relationship between herself and her grandmother. Choreographer Anasheh Partai is inspired by the subtle interactions between people.
