University of Houston-Clear Lake’s latest art exhibition stays close to home, featuring artists who live within a 30-mile radius of the university.
Curator of the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center Daniel Fuller juried the exhibition, selected three winners from among submitted works who will be awarded cash prizes.
Key themes of pieces in the exhibit include culture, such as a chiclet wall sculpture by Paul Atwell and photographs of Nepalese women by Beth LeBlanc. Other local artists whose work will be displayed include Scott Bruno, Helena Gijsbers van Wijk, Cynthia Giron, Douglas Hiser, Rebecca J. Hopp, and Ricardo Rivera.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through August 11.
