The renowned Houston-based violin and piano ensemble The Dancewicz-Doucet Duo presents Identity, a concert that highlights the personal, political and social conditions that shaped and gave the composers their unique voice.

On the program are rare and exciting gems of the violin and piano repertoire: Violin Sonata by Ignacy Jan Paderewski, "Blackberry Hill Rag" by renowned composer and Rice University professor Arthur Gottschalk, and the epic Violin Sonata by the American composer Amy Beach.

The Duo will speak and banter with the audience, giving the context and storyline to the music. The recital is an educational opportunity for music lovers, students and fellow artists. The Dancewicz-Doucet Duo, featuring violinist Dominika Dancewicz and pianist Donald Doucet, is known for creating compelling, thought-provoking programs and for passionate, charismatic performances.
