This annual event, hosted by the Unity Committee, honors the yearly open house hosted by the late and great Brenda Thomas. Thomas was the longtime executive director of the Unity Committee and nationally known for her advocacy for transgender rights and HIV/AIDS education. Guests are invited to bring food or beverages to share New Year's Day at the Transgender Center at 604 Pacific.
