"Wonder Bitch" will consist of multiple pen drawings on yellow Post-it notes. This project was born out of a rough patch in the artist's life during which she was using the Post-it as a diaristic method of taking a hard look at herself and essentially creating reminders of what not to do with her life. It culminated in a series of 500 Post-it notes filled with intricate pen drawings, some realistic while others caricatures, with occasional text discussing the semiotics of the cultural violence of gender, race, class and how we might deconstruct them with a snide ironic humor.

Thais Mather is an artist, writer and feminist. She received her MFA from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. Her most recent installations have blurred the lines between political activism and fine art. She has won several fellowships for her work and has been featured and awarded in many group and juried shows. Before Graduate school, Mather was a printmaker for a decade and worked under the master Ron Pokrasso.

The exhibition begins with an open house and on Nov. 8, 2-6 p.m., followed by an opening reception on Nov. 15, 6-9 p.m.
