This very special evening edition of the East End Street Market will feature musical guests Nick Gaitan & The Umbrella Man and a one-night-only opportunity to participate in the Navigation Esplanade's first public art project/on-site installation.
Curated by local artist and exhibit-builder Amanda De Rosario, the "Umbrellas Over the Esplanade" installation will be on display through September 12. Participants will be able to retrieve and keep their signature painted pieces after its month-long run.
The cost of each umbrella, including painting supplies and artistic assistance/direction by Ms. De Rosario (as requested), will be $20, with all net proceeds directly benefiting the projects and initiatives of the East End Foundation/East End Cultural District.
A menu of all-American smokehouse favorites will be available from food vendor Pitmaker.
