Join Houston Cinema Arts Society for the Third Annual Julydoscope, an evening hosted at Discovery Green. The event is in collaboration with QFest, Dance Source Houston and Theatre Under The Stars. The festivities kick off at 6:30 p.m. with performances by Houston-based dance companies Impande ye Africa, Samskriti, Frame Dance, MECA and FrenetiCore. At 8:30 p.m., the 1988 film Hairspray will be shown.
Audience members are encouraged to wear Hairspray-inspired 1960s costume and participate in the Best Beehive competition after the final dance performance.
