The Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) One Night Only 2017 Gala will honor Margaret Alkek Williams for her many contributions to the arts community in Houston. The event chairs are Becky and Bart McAndrews and Paul-David Van Atta.

The evening will include both a live and silent auction, a jewelry raffle for beautiful Yellow Gold Pave Diamond earrings featuring Yellow and Pink Sapphires sponsored by Zadok Jewelers, mystery grab bag pull provided by Elaine Turner, mystery jewelry pull provided by Kendra Scott and a wine pull.

The evening will reflect the decade-spanning narrative of the Dreamgirls story, from the quintessential glamor of the 1960s to the retro vibe of the 1970s and '80s. The dinner and entertainment portions of the evening will take place on Sarofim Stage, and entertainment for gala guests will feature artists from the upcoming production of Dreamgirls, which runs April 4-16 as the fifth show of TUTS’ 2016/17 Season. The evening will be emceed by Deborah Duncan.

One unique feature of this year’s gala will be the Grand Finale after party that will be chaired by David Peck and Hector Villarreal. Music for the evening will be provided by the Richard Brown Orchestra and guests of the Grand Finale will enjoy a scrumptious dessert bar provided by Culinaire Catering, drinks including a coffee bar by Katz Coffee, dancing and an opportunity to take part in the silent auction and other fun activities.
