Theatre Under The Stars will present Million Dollar Quartet as its annual free summer musical theatre production at Miller Outdoor Theatre. Million Dollar Quartet is the smash-hit musical inspired by the famed recording session that brought together rock 'n' roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time.
On December 4, 1956, history was made when these four young musicians gathered at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest impromptu jam sessions ever. It brings to light the extraordinary story of broken promises, secrets, and the once-in-a-lifetime celebration of four friends that is both poignant and heartwarming. Million Dollar Quartet brings that legendary night to life, featuring a score of rock hits including "Blue Suede Shoes," "Fever," "That's All Right," "Sixteen Tons," "Great Balls of Fire," "Walk the Line," "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On," "Who Do You Love?," "Matchbox," "Folsom Prison Blues," "Hound Dog," and more.
Free tickets for the covered seats are available on the day of performance between 10:30 am and 1 pm at the Miller Theatre Box Office. Free tickets are limited to four per person (over the age of 16). Any tickets remaining will be given out one hour before curtain.
Don’t want to wait in line? For every $100 tax-deductible donation to TUTS, you will receive four complimentary seats under the pavilion. Visit tuts.com/donatenow or call 713-558-2651 for more information. Ticketholders are asked to arrive early as any unfilled seats will be released to the general public at 8 pm.
If you don't get a covered ticket, you can always bring a cozy blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the show from the Miller Theatre lawn, the perfect place for a picnic and a show.
