The Woodlands Arts Council will present its summer exhibition, “Essence: People & Places,” featuring the work of artist Jim N. Hill. The colorful and expressive collection invites viewers into a world of serene landscapes, cheerful moments, and reflections on the joy of everyday life.
Hill’s career spans several decades and continents. His technique combines acrylic, watercolor, collage, and pencil to create textured compositions that are both emotional and imaginative. Beginning his professional journey in 1965 and earning his MFA in 1978, Hill’s work has been exhibited in banks, universities, hotels, and private collections worldwide. His most recent work incorporates a spontaneous painting style, blending color and composition across dreamlike seascapes, landscapes, and abstract pieces.
The exhibition will remain on display through August 7.
