The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University celebrates its 50th anniversary with Richard Lavenda: “Upon Further Reflection,” one of seven brand-new commissions by Shepherd School composition faculty members.

The world premiere, written for soprano, baritone, and chamber ensemble, features faculty members Thomas Jaber, Marianne Gedigian, Benjamin Kamins, and James Dunham, plus Shepherd School alumni and current students.
