The Literacy in the Bag Kickoff Event is open to anyone who wants to learn more about their cause and literacy in the Houston area. Attendees are encouraged to bring books, particularly new and gently used books for grade levels K-8. The books donated will go to Title 1 schools within HISD and any monetary donations go toward purchasing new books for students.
