Some of Texas Monthly’s Top 50 BBQ joints will be in Houston for MeatUp, Texas Monthly’s inaugural BBQ event, a great opportunity to taste some of the best BBQ in the state.

Top 50 ranked pit masters including Ronnie Killen and Manny Torres of Killen’s Barbecue (Top 50) (Houston), Will Buckman of CorkScrew BBQ (#7) (Spring), Jordan Jackson of Bodacious Bar-B- Q (#4) (Longview), Arnis Robbins of Evie Mae's Pit Barbecue (#9) (Lubbock), and Leonard Botello IV of Truth Barbecue (#10) (Brenham). Houston chefs including Yunan Yang of Pepper Twins, Ken Bridge and Felix Florez of Ritual, Tatsu Aikawa and Takuya “Tako” Matsumoto of Ramen Tatsu-Ya, Rebecca Mason of Fluff Bake Bar and Lyle Bento of Southern Goods will join the gastronomic fun.

Hearty cuisine, cold beer, and cocktails will be paired with live music from the Gibson Stage featuring Mike Ethan Messick and John Evans.
