The Texas Medical Center Orchestra's last concert of the 2022-2023 season will focus on "The Power of This Moment," the human ability to cultivate mindfulness, to be fully present and aware of where we are and what we're doing, without being overly reactive or influenced by what's going on around us. We live in a world of distorted perceptions of what we should be, have, and feel. We often miss the beauty of this moment and only realize what we missed when it’s too late.

Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff both wrote some of the most beautiful melodies in the music repertoire, but it takes an open mind to truly appreciate these melodies as they emerge. Pieces include Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D Major Op. 35 featuring Clara Saitkoulov and Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 2 in E Minor Op. 27.
