The Texas Medical Center Orchestra's season opener concert includes Nicolai's The Merry Wives of Windsor Overture, Concierto de Aranjuez for harp and orchestra by Joaquin Rodrigo, featuring harpist Emily Klein, and Beethoven's Symphony No. 7.
TMCO is one of few community orchestras in the world with its origin in the health professions. The mission is to provide a fellowship in both music and medicine for its members, to contribute culturally to the community and to help raise funds for medical and other local charities through its concerts.
