Kelly Lancaster, an extraordinary guitarist and mandolin player, was a musical prodigy whose technical skill and clever improvisations earned him the praise and admiration of anyone who had the privilege of hearing him. Kelly recorded with many, including Willie Nelson and Freddy Powers, and played with several popular Houston bands.
Guests will enjoy an evening of eclectic music from Eastern European jazz to bluegrass to sultry swing, with a few surprises.
The concert includes music by The Gypsies, Allen's Landing Band, Pizazz Dixie Jazz, Attoyac String Band and Cantor Daniel Mutlu; and features Janice Rubin, Greg Harbar, Vladimir Kotsiouruba, Barry Roberts, Martin Langford, Richard Saldivar, Mike Mizma, Ferenc Illyni, Michael Viteri, Julia Olivaros, Morris Moon, Bobby Nichols, Randy Powell, Ben Sims, Chris Bagley, Nina Faia Mutlu, Bill Irwin, Robert Duke, Betty Anderson, Sam Irwin, GloriBelle Kelly, Jordan Kishbaugh, Wayland Stephens, Ken Cluck, Mike Owen, Ed Copel and Matt Kirkland.
