In collaboration with the Buffalo Bayou Partnership, the University of Houston Mitchell Center for the Arts presents an artist-made boat created by the design-build group Simparch. The vessel will travel along the banks of the Buffalo Bayou becoming a mobile, self-contained cinema providing pop-up screenings to film buffs gathering in nearby parks, bridges and many downtown locations along its journey. The program is curated by filmmaker Deborah Stratman.

The launch marks the first of many artists' projects aboard the Tex Hex.
