Tampa Bay Rays at the Houston Astros

eventdetail
Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau

It's the first interleague weekend of the season in Major League Baseball and while this isn't one of the traditional eye-catching matchups (Fox drools for Mets-Yankees and Texans wait for Astros-Rangers), this figures to be some of the best baseball seen in Minute Maid Park this season. The Rays are the best team in baseball (no one tops their 30-11 record and they're coming off a sweep of the Yankees). If you're interesting in pure baseball (as opposed to just going for the hot dogs or a leisurely hang out with friends), this three-game series is a highlight on the schedule.

Tampa Bay is packed with young, budding superstar players from third baseman Evan Longoria to outfielder BJ Upton to pitcher David Price (who will start Sunday's game). As for the Astros ... well, at least Kaz Matsui is gone.
