The Tahirih Justice Center, a nonprofit devoted to protecting immigrant women and children fleeing violence, is celebrating the opening of its Houston office with a fête on the eighth floor of One Park Place this Friday.
Andrea White will speak at the event, and world-renowned dealer Amy Lin will be vending pearl jewelry with proceeds to benefit Tahirih.
The Tahirih Justice Center, named after a martyr for women's rights, is the recipient of The Washington Post's award for Excellence in Nonprofit Management.
