Suplex Presents: Three Exhibitions is a series of three solo exhibitions featuring Texas-based artists Justin Boyd, Jamal Cyrus and Lauren Moya Ford. Transforming a previously abandoned location in Houston, each artist will activate the space through site-specific installations, performances and artworks. Three Exhibitions is inspired by participatory performances in contemporary art and an impulse to respond to those histories within the context of Houston. Each artist will determine the nature of audience engagement in his or her exhibition.

By presenting artwork outside of typical institutions or white wall galleries, Suplex hopes to structure a new dynamic experience for local audiences.

Join on Oct. 17, 24 and Nov. 22 for the opening reception events held in conjunction with each artist's solo exhibition at the historic Axelrad building.
