Stark Naked Theatre Company rings in the New Year with its second annual New Year's Eve celebration hosted by artistic directors Philip Lehl and Kim Tobin. The festivities include beer — furnished by Saint Arnold Brewing Co. — and wine, delicious food prepared by Mockingbird Bistro and Torchy's Tacos, as well as an evening full of entertainment.
Guests will enjoy dancing to live music provided by instrumental surf rock band The Neptones, have their caricature drawn by cartoonist Tom Rye, and experience a midnight balloon drop and champagne toast with the artistic directors, who, in addition to mingling with all the guests, will announce the title of the Shakespeare play that Stark Naked Theatre will produce in the spring.
Additionally, all attendees will be eligible for door prizes (including Rockets basketball tickets) and will have the opportunity to bid on many silent auction items, such as theater tickets and works of art from some of Houston's fine visual artists, including: Dick Craig, Mic McAlister, Taft McWhorter, Tony Parana, Page Piland, Hanna Shoup, Camille Warmington and Gary Watson, among others.
