St. Thomas' Episcopal Church Christmas Concert: "Brass, Organ, Choir & Bagpipes"

eventdetail

This Christmas concert features the festive and spectacular Gloria for brass, percussion, organ and choir by John Rutter, a new Advent carol written by the award-winning young composer Alistair Coleman for St. Thomas' Parish Choir, Handel's Hallelujah Chorus and selected works for brass and bagpipes.

Guests will join to sing favorite Christmas carols and songs. The grand finale — a combination of brass, organ, choir and bagpipes in a rousing rendition of "O Come All Ye Faithful" — is a rare and memorable event.

The Houston Brass Band is the oldest traditional British-style Brass Band in southeast Texas, dedicated to promoting excellent brass band music. St. Thomas' School's Pipe Band performs and competes nationally and internationally and is a five-time world champion band. St. Thomas' Parish Choir leads the parish in worship, accompanied on the church's Schoenstein organs. Nursery and childcare available.
