The Slant: An Authors’ Reading Series aims to benefit Kids’ Meals. Authors Chris Cander, Adrienne Perry, and Louise Marburg will read from their original fiction, nonfiction, and/or poetry in the sanctuary, and Brazos Books will make their books available for sale.

The Slant’s mission is to celebrate writers of diverse cultural backgrounds whose work fosters dialogue and reflection across the social, cultural, and religious spectrum. Emily Dickinson wrote, “Tell all the truth but tell it slant.” A reception on the labyrinth follows. The event is free but an opportunity to support Kids' Meals, a non profit serving Houston's hungriest pre-school aged children, will be available.
