Memorial City will usher in the holiday season during the grand opening event of The Square at Memorial City, featuring its signature Memorial City Lights celebration. Transforming the new outdoor space into a winter wonderland, families are invited to a full-day showcase of musical acts, local high school drumlines, dance troupes, children’s activities, and theatrical performances, including TUTS' Into the Woods and Ice Skate USA’s Nutcracker on Ice.
As the sun sets, Santa will flip the switch to illuminate the holiday lights throughout Memorial City’s 265 acres, including Gessner, Memorial City Way and Katy Freeway. The crowning touch is the lighting of Houston’s tallest Christmas tree, standing at approximately 92 feet tall, as the Dallas String Quartet plays seasonal favorites.
Culminating the festive evening, guests are invited to the after party on The Square, featuring a live concert by local band The Mockingbirds and festive sweet treats.
