Spooky as Hell Halloween art opening

The University of Houston's current batch of graduate painting students have spend October toiling in their studios on some spooky, hair-raising art for a special Halloween-themed group show.

On view through Nov. 15 in the Project Gallery (room 422) at UH's Fine Arts Building, the exhibit kicks off with an opening reception on All Hallows' Eve itself . . . Costumes will be donned. Refreshments will be served. Dogs will be welcomed.

Included are new works by Heather Bause, Jamie Davis, Lauren Moya Ford, John Forse, Zaeed Kala, Bradley Kerl, Melinda Laszczynski, Jennifer McClish, Sebastian Montes, Eric Ockrassa, Caroline Roberts, Caroline Sharpless, Michael Toskovich and Amy Elizabeth Wright.
