Houston-based independent record label Splice Records will present the 11th Annual BowiElvis Fest, which honors the January 8 birthdays of David Bowie and Elvis, two of the most beloved and influential artists of the previous century.
The fest will feature eight bands on two stages, an appearance by Houston’s heralded burlesque troupe Dem Damn Dames, an outdoor party hosted by DJ Chaney and commentary by Master of Ceremonies Mills McCoin. The event will also feature face painting, Elvis / Bowie themed games, a costume contest, prizes, food concessions provided by chef Lindsey Fuquen with Kitch Catering and a lot of nostalgic moments. Sponsors include Lone Star Beer.
